Confusion Or Illusion Poem by Gordon D Wilkinson

Confusion Or Illusion

Rating: 5.0

Dark messengers danced upon the wind of hope
Billowing formations ever changing
Hiding the galleon of the sun clear path
Allowing an occasional peek through the turmoil
Fleck here and there spotted the windows of reason
There to collect join up and eventually make tracks
Twisting, wending their way to individual doom
Gods of the ancients banging their cymbals cacophony
Hurling sparks that streaked across the sky
Bright flashes of passion without any direction
Dangerous and unpredictable like loves course
Some harmlessly hitting the stony ground of indifference
Occasionally a victim claimed smitten to the core
Stuttering wide eyed, an individual whose sap sizzles from the strike
Bewildered on this rollercoaster that reaches the sky
Crashing down to the depths of confusion
