Congratulations Poem by Felix Otiende

Congratulations

Congratulations

Soon you will be a mother,
the joy is written all over your face,
a blind man can see,
the seed down has grown.

Brittle you are,
delicate is your status,
should we count days or months,
maybe weeks,
since I want to print a forehead kiss.

The family tree will never dry,
I see continuation,
forever our name will live through you,
congratulation.
We can feel your impact.
I am proud of you.

We pray that evil eyes will never see you,
and in God's hands you will find protection,
and in our heart you will find comfort.
You are our own.
