Conquerer Poem by Leonard Dabydeen

Conquerer

I
agree
that sometimes
journey of life
can be remorselessly filled with bad dreams.

Flesh-eaten tendrils of freaking horror
haunt your night sleep
leaving you
without
hope.

But
it is
the power
of a strong mind
that conquers death even in dying times.
