Consequences, They Said…. Poem by Mona Lisa Aspiras

Consequences, They Said….

Everything reverberates.
Sound is so loud.
Even your tears, quiet as they are.
Don't worry, I'll look out for
You…
If not in this earth,
In the next.
There our reverberations
Are pure and whole and I swear,
You Will Be Happy.

Life is like getting a never ending
Grade of B.
One should stop trying,
And be happy with being a
Sidekick.
The Jester.
Inside, one cries.
Tears for Fears.
Come, let me Entertain you.
(I smell cheese too… Yes, Why,
Why O Why, is it so…)
Mais c'est la vie…
N'est-ce pas?

Little child…
You have a lot to Learn, and…
Time flies…so Ride…
Ride the wind!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I wrote this when listening to the song Pur, by the band Cocteau Twins. Feeling inspired as usual when listening to music that affects me, this poem flowed easily. It's about reconciliation, love, acceptance. Hope you like it!
