Nervous Wreck



I am weak and waiting
but I'm a nervous wreck
I'm waiting to be filled
like an empty vessel
because I was born
the day the Vesuvius erupted on Pompeii
So the day I will be filled with ashes
is the day my barren days will be over.
Game over.

Part 2 Thus, I take it as poem exuding positive energy. The capability to find positive energy in times of stress shows a strong character, which I appreciate.

Feeling of deep melancholy touchingly expressed. But, the lines “I am waiting to be filled Like an empty vessel” is an expression of openness, readiness to receive what life has to offer. Even if it is the ashes of Vesuvius...
