Consistency Poem by Robert Sheridan

Consistency

Last refuge of the unimaginative
Cohere & try to hold it together
One step forward, two to the rear
Learn the ropes, then wind-up
pissing up them – “you don’t
know what it’s like to listen
to your fears” (childlike at
best) ...
Compatibility is like the
colors that run on a sidewalk
painting caught in the rain –
washed away down a storm
drain and into the sewer with
all the other filth and debris
Can never come to any
mutual understanding or
agreement, no viscosity –
has the consistency of
diarrhea ...
Oft times pitches like a
listing ship at sea – where’s
the! @#&*safe harbor?
Take it all, throw it in a
mixing-bowl, add two
aspirin – don’t call me
in the morning...!
