Contacting Me Poem by Randy McClave

Contacting Me

I wish she would stop trying to contact me
No more is she my destiny,
And I wish that she would just let me be
I enjoy being myself, and being free.
I am so much happier than what I was before
When she was constantly knocking at my door,
Every day when I was with her it was like a war
I don't want that feeling or memory anymore.
She texted me that she was a married woman now
With another man she finally took a vow,
She wore the white dress that her conscience did allow
Probably with the grooms raised eyebrow.
I don't want to talk to her about our past
When she texts me and has asked,
In my life there is now a new and better cast
New memories and adventures I have amassed.
I will not answer her texts or the phone
I just want to be left to myself and all alone,
Never will I ever cast the first stone
To her I just want to be forgotten and unknown.
