Any time
I try to hide
they find me
Any place I occupy
They grip me

There seem to be
no easy way
to keep them down
They hang around
They trip me up
They knock me out

But when you’re coming
to my heart
Well I can feel them
fall apart
When you’re knocking
to my soul
I can hear them
Crash to the floor

The only cure
to counteract
Their noxious bite
The only way
to purify
My scarred inside

You seem to be
The one and only
way outside
You can control
My vital signs
You bring me life
