Contentment Poem by Deb Vincent

Contentment

As the days come and go
The nights they seem to fly
Memories of my younger years
Seem to slowly fade by.
The plans of younger days
Give way to the real of now
To return with my knowledge of truths
Maybe change my life, but how?
Would I change my choice or turns?
If it were possible to be.
Become a different soul and mind
Never know the present me.
How sad my life would be.
To wonder if I had done this or that instead.
The energy spent, what a waste.
That I am content, places me ahead.
I am loath to wish for changes
For that is why I am here, this place.
To live life to the fullest, to be happy.
The ultimate goal for the human race.
