Control Poem by Emmanuel Stone

Control

Once I went on a walk in a green field
and the rain was falling all around me.

I saw before me something move,
something I'd lost a while ago.
'Twas mine, Once Upon a Time
but it ran away from me
and I had thought it lost
'till now.

On that day I reclaimed my life as my own
I grabbed it with my hands to be mine alone

I am the master of my life
I will use it to change where I am
to become where I want to be
because success lies not in waiting
but in proactive progression.
