Conversation Poem by Nebil Elias

Conversation

I'm broken from what I've seen
Nothing is at what it seems
Thought I was in a dream
But it turned to be real

Eyes of darkness with the touch of frost
I stare into the mirror and feel lost
I feel numb
I blame myself for being dumb

Depression came whispering my name
‘I told you this was all a game"
"Your ignorance led you to pain"
"You will live a life full of shame"
"But if you don't want to feel this way"
"There is a place that will change your faith"
"All your despair will fade"
"I don't recommend you to wait
"Because you are already late"
"So, what do you say, my friend? Depression said.
"Show me the way, I want to end this today" I replied.
"Take this pill and you will find yourself in a hall,
And there will be a door in front of you" depression said.
"What's behind that door? I asked.
"Behind that door, your journey will start, " depression said.
