Cooking For Two Poem by James Browning Kepple

Cooking For Two

cooking for two

my chinese woman has returned from space,
she has taken care to bring me such cosmic dust,
we celebrate at her sisters
who brings iced wine and moonpies!

for this harvest our people will surely be in great fortune!
for only 6 billion dollars (since 1992) we dance stars!
us saddled blankets, we relieve horses past mongolia,
return home always to the power of the star

I like how she respects me you know, as the man,
truly has an affection to my input my desire
cares you know
that while she was up there she still stirred at me

I relinguish the wok, she says it looks spectacular
only I imagine as good as any starfish could be cooked,
she whistles with her tea handle
and voila, my welcome home dinner is served!
