Cool Catfishes Poem by Jose Ramon Sanchez

Cool Catfishes

If we were fish resting
At the bottom of a pond
And you were walking by
Glancing into the dark waters
Where we rest afraid of the shadows
We'd laugh at how wavy and silly
You'd look and
You'd laugh right back,
drop a stick
of dynamite into the pond
and just get
your dinner tonight
