Cordell Bed Races - Poem by Marilyn Lott

Talent is apparent
Speed at its best
Folks are getting ready
For the bed racing test

A person in the bed
And four all around
Ready for the race
So a winner is found

Excitement is building
In the midst of the town
Ready, set, go
Let’s have the first round

We’re holding our breath
As they go through their paces
Hurry on down watch
To the Cordell Bed Races! !
