Corissa Ann Poem by Marilyn Lott

Corissa Ann

Rating: 5.0

“I don’t like beets, ”
Said Corissa Ann
“I don’t like carrots and
I don’t like ham
I don’t like this
And I don’t like that-”
She went to her bedroom
And there she sat.
Her mother stood
With hands on hips
To watch Corissa’s pouty lips.
“I guess there’s nothing more to say
I’ll just go put dessert away.”
“Dessert? ” asked Corissa?
Her blue eyes bright.
“Maybe I could eat a little bite.”
So back to the table Corissa went
And for a time the blonde girl spent
Eating some bites while Mama stood
And Corissa said, “It does taste good! ”

I wrote this for my grand daughter when she was little.
