Cottage by the sea
not far from steps that lead
where they lead is a mystery
for everyday is different, you sea?
amidst shells and rocks and sea creatures
the sand dwellers roll out carpets
of various colors every opulent day
today is blue with platinum speckles
glimmering in sheer sea satin silk
with layers of opalescent sharkskin
I begin my adventurous journey from here
sea in me the dear shell calling
from our cottage by the sea
beconing ear to hear hearts stalling
blue twinkling sea glass catches eye
flirting with each beach goer and passer by
gallantly I skip, run, walk
sea the pier from past the rock
playing near our cottage dock
sneaker wave comes behind my back
touches me on the tush and shoulder
this was a love tap, well, more of a love smack
standing head to toe dripping
now that I'm wet mise a well get in
thank you wave for now you win
in fact, so fun, where've you been?
