Counseling - Poem by Vera Sidhwa

I have problems.
You have problems.
We do nothing but fight.
Your face and fists get tight.

Nothing can be said,
That can be nice.
Nothing can be done.
Nothing can be done.

But I went to seek a man.
He said he was a counselor.
You came with me,
And I with you.

We both went to be counseled.
It took months and years.
It took a lot of counseling.
But it worked.
