Counter Intuition Poem by Long Tooth

Counter Intuition

We feel close to breaking when loved ones get sick,
If they die, OMG, let me out of here quick,
You can feel things you wish you'd done, pushing you down!
And to laugh is impossible, "up" is a frown!
Sad! For even a pet's loss can lead you to 'diss'
What you (yesterday)felt was the heart of your bliss!

Emotion's a sword's edge that rests on a thread,
With some days we all feel we'd be better off dead!
But the sun still will rise (on those days we feel glum,)
It seems happiness' path is just being a chum
To a friend whose emotions have taken worse fall,
And we learn to serve others means love for us all!
