County Fair

Ox roast over fire
of an axed old oak.
From holy cow and holy tree
spiraling unholy smoke.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Note: Dear poets and readers, I often seem like a judgmental
Johnny One Note. Sometimes a note repeated is remembered. I affirm that all politicians and corporation officers crticized by this pen have God indwelling them.

Isaiah 1: 11 I delight not in your blood sacrifice.

Even without going through the Poet's Notes, the entire scenario becomes crystal clear. In Hinduism, cow, tree and fire are all considered sacred. Those who are averse to these tenets, carry out such unholy slaughters. They just do not want to understand.
