County Fare Poem by Daniel B Kelleher

County Fare

Down a country lane on a sunny day
On my way to the county fare
She passed me by with twinkling eyes
A floral dress shimmering as she goes by
Flowing black hair touched the ground
As she flounces along singing a song
Nobody there will stand in her way
For she is on her way to be belle today
As queen of the county fare
Up on stage she received her crown
To the cheers and delightful crowd
When she burst into song all sang along
Singing iam Proud to be your county Queen
