Coup d'etat
He who turned to Papa
Had led the coup d'etat
He was young; very young
Look at him, and Jinnah
On the sides of Iran.
I, idle and neutral
Do not walk in their lines…
Neither their disciples'.
After what I heard, read
Happened in Ankara
Of today's coup d'etat
Someone else came to mind
Of Iraq of Saddam.
His name was: Nazem Kazar
He threw a party in his house
Government's echelon invited
Unlucky, he failed in coup d'etat
One of guests could not come
Heard rumours when outside.
Had the house surrounded
And the host arrested
He was charged, convicted.
"A man dies as do men"
He shouted to soldiers
"So remove the blind
Want to see the bullets
Aiming hot for my chest! "
How many in Turkey
Will follow the same way
But censored in darkness?
