Cracks In Belief Poem by Vani Agarwal

Cracks In Belief

Sometimes the brain isn't enough,
we rely on it's too much.
And when we believe the road is rough,
the world seems to collapse as such,
the walls seem to high,
the road seems too long,
you walk on as you sigh,
what was it I did what was wrong?
Sometimes the brain isn't enough,
it leads us to what is right.
and following your heart isn't a bluff,
it is giving yourself an Insight.
We believe what we perceive,
but that is just one half.
The fake is all we see,
and cry as we laugh.
But you need to know,
Looking through the glass is always beautiful,
and we believe what the brain says,
but glass always dutiful,
showing us an illusional phase.
Truth is an attribute it will always lack,
for at the end, the glass might just crack.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I have written a lot of poems with references to glass and mirrors.
That is because I believe that we tend to believe solely what we can see, what we hear without actually putting any thought, much like a mirror, that only SHOWS, not FEELS.
So, here's another one!
