Cradled Poem by soren Barrett

Cradled

A cabin forest surrounded, nature unbounded, running streams
Songs of birds and creek sounded, their music expounded, creation of dreams
Wild flowers grow their naked beauty to show, under a sun's beams
The fury of storms and a fire that warms, inside a wood house of forest cut beams

Three hundred acres or more. ten miles to the store, neighbors a quarter of a mile away
Frogs and crickets at night, stars burning embers bright, birds announce the break of day
The wind sings her song as shadows grow long under the sun's last ray
Painted skies as the sun dies in an artistic multicolor display
