Crafty Politicians Also Worship Poem by Charles Karia

Crafty Politicians Also Worship

Perhaps I should soon in a church stop,
On a Sunday, afternoon just to say hallo.
Listen to the the music, enjoy the holy feel,
In the meantime then,to the good lord say hi.
The preacher, like always will be happy that,
Instead of other area churches, major and mini-
Classy men like me, in his church can frolic.
Inquire not Mr. preacher, about my secret djinni,
And other secret objects, that give me the chutzpa,
Nor ask whether, I will denounce my shortcomings or sin.
Since so so varied, are my trades and missions,
I can't surely always thrive on words or church manna
ln the wizard voter's den I must sometimes say hi.
So great a blessing and glorious my visit was,
On the altar the adorable, wise preacher said so.
With charisma he gave me that mannaand brew,
Only given to his pious members when he says so,
Remember to give an offering; he said in a great roar!
So compelled I gave a wand, of crisp new dollars,
His ear to ear smile, and the loud thankful ooh,
Instantly convinced me; that in spite of my djinni,
Politicians like me are loved, in houses of worship.
