Crazy Horse Lover Poem by richard ilnicki

Crazy Horse Lover

He came out of the desert full of the night
and clad in the nebula of kings
over queens, a full house.
Oh yeah! That 's right, cowboy,
he came with the scars of an Indian
on his red back,
but he dug his spurs, the heels of his feet
into the lavender powder of peyote.
He wanted to see his buffalo
jump over the rainbow
riding on the palomino back of Crazy Horse.
