સર્જન અને સર્જનહાર. (Creation And The Creator) Poem by Devanshu Patel

સર્જન સ્તુતિ*
કરતા રહ્યા, ભૂલ્યા
સર્જનહાર.
We have kept on appreciating mere creations
But
We have forgotten the Creator of the Universe.

કીર્તન મુખે
કરતા રહ્યા, ચાહ્યા
ના કીરતાર.
We have kept on singing hymns with mouth
But
We have never loved our God by heart.

છપ્પન ભોગ
ધર્યા કર્યા, ત્યજ્યા ના
ભોગ લગાર.
We have kept on offering ‘Chhappan Bhog' to God
But
We have never relinquished wallowing mundane desires.
(‘Chhappan Bhog'... In Temples of India The Gods are offered different 56 kinds of delicious food items.)

તર્પણ દેવ
ઘણાં કર્યાં, તરસ્યા
તારણહાર
We have kept on trying to satisfy the God with offerings
But
The God is still not satisfied because He craves for our love and not for things.

દર્પણ દર્શ
કરતા રહ્યા, ગયા ના
દર્પ ધરાર
We have kept on seeing the God in the mirror
But
We have never tried to abandon our vanity.
(In Derasar the jains are used to see (દર્શ)God in Mirror. The meaning of ‘દર્પ' is Pride, Vanity)

દર્શન મૂર્તિ
તણાં કર્યા, ખોલ્યાં ના
અંતર દ્વાર.
When we go to temple we bow our head just to the statue, without the real feel of God
But
We never try to open the doors of our heart to see Him where actually He does live.
