Crescent Poem by Eric Omondi

Crescent

Rating: 4.5

Crescent! Crescent! Ooh Little Moon!

When the night falls

Tears roll

All stars in twos

I wail in blues

Where are you Crescent?

Please show your presence.

Crescent! Crescent! Ooh Little Moon!

I stare at the sky

With hopes in the eye

With disappointment i sigh

I walk back in wonder

Will I be with you yonder?

Or fate the Beyonder

Will retain us asunder?

Crescent! Crescent! Ooh Little Moon!

I am dictated by the tyranny of the sun

Please come spare me the burn

Save me from the hostile daylight

Shed me your dermal-friendly light

Oh Crescent save me from this plight!

Crescent! Crescent! Oh Little Moon!

Come Moon Come

Come drive out the gloom

Forever reverse this doom

Once in a blue moon

Come we rest in our Troon.

A nice poem with lovely rhymes, well articulated and sonorous. A good piece indeed. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
