Crossing A Stream Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Crossing A Stream

Rating: 5.0

The clear rippling water flowed
Over the rocks and in between toes
The stone shapes were smooth and pebbly
Some were dull and pastel, others ebony

The soles of callused feet were discriminating
Sorting large from small they were calibrating
The current was refreshingly calm and consistent
The steady steps walked were firm and persistent

The path pursued had been supportive and stable
The footsteps taken were clearly undetectable
As the cool stream was crossed to the other side
Cleansed feet touched the grassy edge and dried
