Crown Gone Viral Poem by DOT Marceo

Crown Gone Viral

Somewhere in the Middle Kingdom
In a market of caged animals
From Afrika and South America,
And from nearby and far away,
The handling and slaughtering
Of lesser beings released lesser beings

To be spread to other beings nearby
And far away.

Crowned beings undetected migrated
Without papers to lands committing acts
Neither lawful nor unlawful, the true
Showstoppers of no race raced with
Infectious charm and harm toward an
Unsuspecting audience.

Crown wearers gone viral on television,
Computer, tablet and mobile phone screens -

The doubting audience be damned.
The curtains closed in hospitals.
The numbers show we will survive the
Catching blow
Of this long-running show.
