Cruel Reality Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

Cruel Reality

I reached out for you
Just to find you weren't there
my love was true
had to realize you didn't care
Once I've openned my eyes
I discovered the truth in your lies
Finally I awake
Sadly, it was all just a disguise
still, I couldn't avoid this heartache
crying out to you, crying your name
Guess it was lost in my sea of pain
I tried to be strong
By justifying what you did wrong
I'm left with the realization
i'm never going move on
I tried to save us,
but a cruel tornado swept us up
and left things in ruins
All what's left is scattered remains
this was the day love had died
