Cry Poem by Ojeikpo Elijah

Cry

Let me cry and let no one tell me to stop
Let no one ask me what are you crying for
Haven't you seen,
The rain had drenched me to my soul
Against the wall of my heart?
Take a look at me now
My legs are bury in a cold sand
And my head bathed in ashes.

Let me cry and let no one dare
to console me
Let me crying my cry in peace,
Haven't you see the tempest on my sea?
Against the lamb* mountain,
Not a soul would dare to steep onto the lowest contour
A life! but human has a little control of it.

Let me cry...
Let me wails to well
A man whom hasn't cried is a champion.
Let no one stop me
To roll away the stone from my tomb,
Until my soul reach to rich the immortality
Don't tap my shoulders to sobers
Take the towels away until
The Scarlet crimson's tears dry to her root.

Let me cry
Take a look at me
Scars have took Dominion over my soul.
The last time I cried was in the funeral
A feast when all the guests are threw in tears
And their garments burned in blood
Truth and fiction lied in the bosom of humans
Let me crying my cry in peace.
