Light departs as you cast your shadow away
And blight seems to follow your very way
You looked back and saw him standing
Then walked away then he started crying

Love has leaked through his crimson tears
And all his happiness’ banished by his fears
But still he grins for you took away his sanity
He wears his fake smile to conceal his frailty

The pessimist turned out to be an optimist
For he’s expecting a good thing, the least
Clinging to this single thought he prays
That you’ll come back for him someday

But after a while, his morale grew weak
His hopes died as he sadly speaks
“Of all the people in the world, why me! ? ”
“Why made the poor man cry…? ”
