Cry With Me Oh River Poem by Ojeikpo Elijah

Cry With Me Oh River

Cry with me oh river, let your tears flow,
As we stand together, in the moon's soft glow,
Let the pain we carry, be washed away,
In your gentle waves, let our sorrows stray.

Your current, a soothing lullaby,
As we pour out our hearts, without a sigh,
Your ripples, like a comforting embrace,
As we release all the hurt, with no trace

Oh river, you've seen it all before,
Our joys and struggles, our hopes and more,
But tonight, we come to you in despair,
Beneath the starry sky, we seek your care.

Your ancient wisdom, flows through our veins,
As we pour out our souls, without any chains,
Our tears, like tiny droplets in your sea,
But together, we'll find a way to be free.

So cry with me oh river, let it all out,
For in your sacred waters, we have no doubt,
That our burdens, you'll carry downstream,
And in your current, we'll find our dream..
