Cuckoo Sings, Cuckoo Flies Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Cuckoo Sings, Cuckoo Flies

The cuckoo sings
The cuckoo flies
Oft day
Rare night!

It earnest looks
To the star light
But that's too high
A heave - some sigh!

The cuckoo's heart
Is wounded yet
He flies with bats
This night
Tonight!
