Cuddling Poem by Aparna Chatterjee

Cuddling

No matter
However many
Cuddling pillows
You take with you
None of them
Can give you
The warmth
Of a human
Being,
Sleeping
With you

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
(This feeling is esp. true for me as I always have the tendency to feel cold despite sleeping with pillows and duvets, So I always feel grateful when my hubby can sleep in time with me, but the nights he works late, the kids come over to keep me cosy, as in my family, I'm the one who always feels the coldest. Here in UK, though we use gas central heating in the daytime, but we don't keep it on all through the night as prolonged exposure to such artificial room heating can cause dry and itchy skin conditions.)
