luxuries of nativity
promptly orbed and atom eyed,
the credulous resurrection:
soldiers lacerate hearts
echoing stances,
blood is betrayed
in subtle affections
and hypnotic climaxes.
Summer is their weapon!
the stolen muzzle
conscripts gripping
familiar ecstasies
the warmth of triumph
and childhood raptures
dawn is a wound
never needing healing
ever-bleeding
the susurration of janus-faced petals.
the profuse virescent
Horus's whore scrapes,
sterilisation of dragons
bodkins; magenta, lilac, iris…
the heart ripens thirsting heat
sanctifying nourishment;
roots harpoon the moon
chiming
the season's marches
I
spring
the genocide of self-interest
engulfs the senses
adorations for curved mirrors
clenched distortions
fertilise
unspoken wealth
green freckles
spat-out
bitterness
herded limbs
inspect fields
stale mist
political jokes
loveable resenment
seduce naivety
the making of man
crude atmospherics——
divine bakeries
burn the crisp
tissue's delicacy
enticing scents
idle traps;
preludes
permeate
black streams
shining youth
both
no longer
romantic
dawn deliquesces
flesh from venom
convenience is extinction
the faithful betrayal
binding beauty
inevitable euphemisms
ascetics burrow
fragile ornaments
selfish virtue
adornments
emptied
in cultivations
classrooms, cities, cultures—
