Curiosity Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Curiosity

Curiosity

Like that day in Feshark
-I was a small child
Rained, showered in Tehran
-fast it turned to flood
-took over roads, asphalt
-turned river and its height
-went over a tall man, two meters
Man, woman, long married and had kids
Kept walking; she slipped!
-now is gone for two months
-no trace, not at all
-children and father live elsewhere
-of their house are afraid! ! !

I am old and have seen
-Mansour and Nasser and…
-of Hotel Phoenicia…
-woman gone, no trace! ! !

Boils brain! ! !
Wave questions! ! !
-what is there?
-the secret?
-government (s) ?
-governors?
-politics?
-relations?
-is she gone on her own?
-needed an excuse?
-was kidnapped?
-was buried after rape?
-her husband?
-enemies or friends?
-simply destiny and her fate?

Look for gun; a knife, or poison
Why am I curious?

-is this why I write scripts?
-does it come from the poetry?
-or is it in blood?
