Curiosity Poem by Ed Homer

Curiosity

Rating: 5.0

Curiosity often quoted
Seldom left alone
People cannot mind their own
So life become eroded

Quality becomes diminished
Pleasant smiles turn to frown
Privacy no longer heeded
Where secrets can be found

But let the seeker become the victim
Then it becomes a different game
When they feel the sting of the pen
They too get to enjoy pain

They seek the courts to hide their secrets
They use the media to confuse
A simple manipulation of the words
And the guilty party is you

The sickness of the world
Demented and forlorn
Will judge you for your actions
But refuse to accept your scorn

In the end those with connections
Will block the efforts to report
The wrong doings of said people
Protected by corrupted courts

We have become a lost people
The course altered to their choices
The volume is turned down
No one will ever hear our voices

Pathetic is their truth
Pathetic is their cause
Pathetic is their reasons
Pathetic are their laws

I subscribe to none of that
I do not listen to their words
For I am from another time
Long before America became cursed
