A Place In The Sun Poem by Ed Homer

A Place In The Sun

I lie my head down by the creek
Listening for the sounds
All sorts of things I hear
Only to confound

I hear trickles and splashes
Soft clicking of the stones
I hear a frog leap
As they begin to croak

The mist surrounds my senses
I ingest the morning dew
A tadpole swims close to me
Not knowing where they go

A fish splashes my face
As if to warn me away
I sit hear waving to them
Going about my day

The vision of the water flows
Could blow ones mind away
The patterns that show
I do not know what to say

I lift my head finally
For now its time to go
I shall return hear again
That much I do know
