Curry Poem by Sheena Blackhall

Curry

You know what you are getting with a curry
It doesn't criticize or pull you down
It doesn't feel like you've been drowned in slurry
You know what you are getting with a curry

A man will brush you off. He's in a curry
He has important things to do in town
Had drinking turn your mouth all white and furry
You don't get those afflictions with a curry

You've tied the knot? One day you will be sorry
He'll call you fat. He'll say that your'e a clown
You wed a Porsche. Now it's a dumpster lorry
You really should settled for a curry.

That diet leaves you faint. My eyes are blurry
Go tear it up. Life is too short to frown
Step off the scales! Why should each meal bring worry
Now treat yourself. Indulge. Devour a curry.

You think that you'd consider Hari Kiri
Your best friend's spilled your secrets. And to crown
It all, she's made you look a proper wally
In future, put your faith into a curry
