Czech Fun Festivities Poem by Marilyn Lott

Czech Fun Festivities

Don’t you love the kind of music
That makes your toes start tappin’?
It brings a smile upon your face
As you hear that music rappin’?

And at the yearly Czech Festival
That’s exactly what we’ve got
It’s fun in the cool of the morning
Right through the day while it is hot

Then evening comes and it’s cooler
So you bring blankets for the kids
Because they’d rather stay and bundle up
Than choose to go home instead

The food, folks, is so delicious
Cooked just like the Czech’s always did
Delightful for those 80 years or older
And for the hungry little kids

Such fun it is for everyone
To watch parades and all that stuff
It’s a day of much excitement
And we just cannot get enough

Yukon is exciting every year
One of Oklahoma’s greatest cities
So please join us this summer season
And enjoy the Czech fun festivities!
