Dad Poem by Sharon Reniff

Dad

Head Strong
where it belongs
Taking care of others
You may have thought I didn't see
or that I hadn't heard,
Life lessons that you taught me,
But I got every word.
I know that I have failed you
I know that I've done wrong
but that is part of learning
my soul now is very strong.
Perhaps you thought I missed it all,
and that we grew apart
But dad I picked up everything
It's written in my heart.
I've grown up with your values,
I know I've torn them apart,
I'm sorry my father
Don't worry about me,
for I started a new start
