Dad Is Broken Poem by D.A. Woods

Dad Is Broken

The rain is falling down hard on me tonight,
It has fallen so hard with no end in sight.
Remembering sunny days.
Remembering better days.
There are things that can never be taken back or put right.
standing on this cliffs edge wondering can I walk with my hearts ways.

Thoughts of my joys, thoughts of my boys are all broken.
Your twisted ways and words are forespoken.
It would be easier if I wasn't here.
The psychological games make me feel I wasn't here,
its penetrated my mind like a hurtling freight train provoking.
All I have is this 200ft glare.

I need to go, I can't stand not seeing them anymore.
This ending is heading towards a new door.
I've never stopped in this life loving my boys.
In the next world, I'll never stop loving my boys.
Your games are evil and reflects how you are.
You've said too much and with your games pushed too far.
Just remember this as I approach ground noise.

You are my Sunshine... My only Sunshine,
you made me happy when Skies turned grey.
I hope you know Son, how much I loved you.

Now Dads pain and misery has taken him away.
