Daddy Poem by Kai Williams

Daddy

My daddy I don’t understand.
I’m as lost as Alice in Wonderland.
Why he couldn’t be around me?
Why he didn’t attend to my every need?
Why he didn’t simply call to say hi?
Why there was never a need to say goodbye?
Why I didn’t have memories to hold dear?
Why he never ever seemed to care?
Why he promised and never did?
Why didn’t he realize I WAS JUST A KID?
But here’s Kai standing proud and tall.
I love you daddy flaws and all.

This is probably your best one out of all them, simply because it takes a breather from all your cliche love poems. Take some initiative and write some REAL poetry... or at least make your love poems different from the norm. My criticism: there's very little variety in your poems... the meter is exactly the same, your rhyme scheme is off and sometimes cluttered, and your messages are reminscent of every other teenage girl out there who pretends to write poetry. You have potential, USE IT.
