Daddy



Lingering on the outskirts
of memories long forgotten,
a shadow emerges from the dark,
carrying warmth and mystery behind him.

Pictures flash across my mind
with good and bad intentions,
and all the while the sad bell tolls,
awakening deep emotions with it.


The mystery man,
a split of truth and lies,
brings joy and fear to my heart,
blended by bittersweet tears in my eyes.

So little is known about this man,
who represents such sorrow and grief,
but among the frames and tattered cards,
five significant letters are what I seek:

D a d d y
