Dark Thoughts



Shadows play across my mind
in a befuddling dance without time.

My heart beats faster, my brain goes numb
but no medication can help me up.

Yearning to block out the pain
and save my heart from fading away.

Spinning sickeningly in my head
are thoughts that will soon make me dead.
