Daddy Raised Me To Soften Poem by Lorene Kinsey

Daddy Raised Me To Soften

Daddy raised me to soften
The edges of my sharp tongue
Takes daily practice biting it
When I want so badly to
Lash it at the one most
Deserving, but reserve it for
Strangers who can either
Take offense or grow amused by it.
