Showers down like broken glass
Upon the girl who weeps
Life as known changing fast
Cannot escape in dreams.
Tries not to scold for truths unknown
Yet feels the tear so deep
Stitches seams, unraveling soul
So her wounds remain unseen.
Part of her wants to shout
The other hides her face
Half wanting herself to let it out
The other cloaking shame.
'How, ' she asks, 'could one man
Tumble the walls around? '
As she flips over the hour glass
Then thrusts it to the ground.
i love the imagery... smashing a sundial... or a clock .. symbols of transcending time
