Daddy's Busy Poem by Jeffrey The Budgie

Daddy's Busy

He took an airplane again
Looking to be someone else
Does he feel the effects of his shame
When her call rings in his pocket again

A business trip
to whom he wants to be
It's somewhere else
Not here with his family
Through the cracks in the old door he sees
The way out
to the green
Its calling's so loud

The hand of a swedish girl
rests on his thigh
Does he feel old
The way her new necklace
He can't deny
Cost about a thousand euro's
Business before pleasure, right?

And I am still at bay
With new guilt and a new phone
He's off to close some sales
What does my life way on his scales?

A trip
to who I want to be
It's somewhere else
Not here with this broken family
Through the cracks in the old door I see
The way out
to the green
It's calling's so loud
