Her wet cheek upon his shoulder
Daddy carried her to bed
Carefully easing up each stair step
His hand a cradle for her head
Gently on a cloud he laid her
Her body settling like a feather
Dreamily she hugged her friend
Her and Teddy Bear together
Within the night light's amber glow
Standing silent in the shadows
As moonbeams fell upon her sleep
He wished her only sun and rainbows

exquisitely delightful, perfect read before bed. What tender images-he carried her, carefully easing, his hand a cradle for her head, he laid her, he wished her. One of my favourite words is father so this poem brought back some sweet memories. Great photo it expresses the sentiments of the poem so well.
I suppose that some people may be happy if I am afflicted by writers block but all of life is poetry and what depth there is to the simplest things. The Gandhi quote that you shared speaks to me so profoundly. I had read is biography as a young man. The message that he shared with a turbulent world ripples throughout humanities story and has become the integral fabric of our hope as a people.
